Delivery Information

Orders must be placed by 2pm to receive overnight. Any orders placed after 2pm will be dispatched the following day.

Packed Weights & Sizes

Fish orders are packed to the nearest weight requested, and should weigh at least the weight requested. Fillets' sizes are variable due to the nature of the whole fish. If you have a specific request for fillets, please let us know and we will endeavor to meet your request.

North Island Urban $8.00 up to 20kg
North Island Rural $12.00 up to 20kg
Local Napier Hastings $5.00
South Island Overnight $15.00 up to 5KG

Free Freight: Our Free Freight Promotion Items this week:
Your order must include at least one of the following items to qualify for Free Freight to North Island Urban addresses only.  Maximum weight per free freight order is 5KG.

If you exceed the limit of 5kg the system will automatically charge $7.00 freight.

Unfortunately due to the increasing shipping costs, we can no longer include rural customers in the weekly free freight promotion.However NZ Courier have drop off points near where you may pick up your parcel. Please call us to check your nearest Drop Off point.

Rural: This is a 2-3 days service. Please call us to check RURAL addresses.


Delivery Timing & Detail

Your fish will be delivered by courier to your door. If you are not home it will be left on the front doorstep or at the nearest location. Your fish should be opened from the polybin and refrigerated as soon as possible.

Delivery days available are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Orders must be placed at least by 2PM the day before you wish to recieve the delivery, for example; before 2pm Monday for a Tuesday delivery, etc.


Packing

Your fish is packed and placed inside a secure polybin. Ice gels are packed around the fish. This ensures the fish remains temperature controlled and fresh. If your fish is too warm when you receive it, do not eat it and contact us immediately.

 All Fillets listed for sale on the website are skinned and boned unless otherwise specified. All Hawkes Bay Seafoods fish is hand processed, by skinning and boning the freshly caught whole fish. The product is controlled throughout the complete process to ensure it remains fresh and safe to eat. Hawkes Bay Seafoods runs an approved RMP plan audited by the New Zealand Food Safety authority.

All Hawkes Bay Seafoods fresh fish has a 5 day shelf life when handled correctly. For best eating however, eat the fish within 2 days of receiving the product. 

Handling Fish


Remove the fish from plastic as soon as possible. Place the fillets on a plate and cover with a paper towel/glad wrap inside your refrigerator until ready to eat.

Freezing the fish for later use is fine.
